I lied about my body count after we said goodnight

I lied about my body count because I wanted to seem less experienced, and now the lie follows me into every serious conversation. I am not confused about right and wrong; I am confused by how strong the wanting gets. Maybe the confession is not that I want it, but that I am tired of being ashamed of wanting.
