I lied about my body count before my partner came home

I lied about my body count because I wanted to seem less experienced, and now the lie follows me into every serious conversation. I am scared that if I say the exact words, I will not be able to pretend I am innocent anymore. For now, this confession is the closest I can get to saying the words out loud.
