I wanted a compliment more than advice after keeping it in for months

I asked for feedback like I was ready to grow, but what I really wanted was reassurance that I was good enough. I know people may judge it from the outside, but living inside it felt more complicated. If nothing else, writing it down makes it feel less hidden.
